Internet Marketing Newbies Ask Questions And I Answer

This is an interesting email I’ve got from one of my list subscribers (an Internet Marketing newbie as it seems), a member of my online audience as I prefer to call them all – my friends.

I have decided to make it public (only after asking for permission, of course…)

I am doing this because I think it would be profitable for many other people to see the answers too – as the questions may be common struggles of Internet Marketing newbies (and savvy, all alike) when it comes to some strategies and tactics the regular GURUs (the guys you may be getting emails from daily) won’t disclose, normally.

I also encourage you to join the conversation and ask your own questions (if any) but more important, to encourage yourself the ones who would need help online. I’ll do my best to answer properly and timely on my own.

I was thinking in the beginning to make this a forum, but decided not to. The reason is I want the blog to be public and have more exposure to SEs (that would stand for Search Engines) so that even other people – maybe searching for answers online – may find this content and easily jump IN, too.

So, let’s get started. Here’s the email I’ve got:

Hi there Steve,

As requested – LOL – I am answering one of your emails. And perhaps you can help me out here. I am going to trust you here with some info and trust you won’t use it.

I am an Internet Marketing newbie of sorts, and I have lots of questions and a heap of information overload and a hard drive full of E- books etc etc.

My experience with IM is an almost empty site that I paid dearly for (made for me) was more or less left to my own devices to fill it with blog, ads etc. Wasn’t told anything about an autoresponder or how to make a list, in other words a dismal failure I did make it an online shopping site, did some paid and free ads, to no avail. Well I guess you get the picture. I also paid dearly for some advertising by email through this group and got nowhere.

Anyway, my first question is: – I would like to set up a website for IM, and I have a particular business name (*****’* *** IM) (after my 9th grandson of 4 months of age) for it that I would like to use, but can I or should I, or should I use the name of a niche for it? The niche is G******** ( I would then call it G******** Revised) – can I use that on there or should I run with IM stuff?

I mean everyone touts you should have a niche. I had a blog on WordPress but that’s not getting any traffic either, the problem is you get told so much but not what you are supposed to be doing. How was I supposed to know you should have website with the blog on it to drive traffic to, and I’m not very good at blogging. As you can see I have learnt a little along the way, but way not enough, and I don’t want to waste anymore money that I really don’t have.

You see I am a disability pensioner and my hubby is also one with major heart complaints etc, so every penny is turned over 100 times before it is given out. Can you help me out here with some information I need?

Most gratefully,

Jannie K

PS: You write good English for a Romanian, LOL

Hi, Jannie!

Thanks for writing back to me as I asked… Not many people do it, although it’s FREE – LOL (maybe one of the few things that remained really so!)

You have learned a few things, indeed. Let me help you focus.

Here is a quote I plan to use on one of my next products:

“The only thing that prevents you from making $7.000 tomorrow online (IF today you’ve made $7 already) is…. TRAFFIC!”

We, as IMers, are in fact traffic brokers. Please keep that in mind!

There are so many different sources of traffic. The so called free traffic from SEs (but in fact it still costs either time or money to get it, no matter what) and the paid traffic from advertisers, coming in so many different flavors again: PPC, PPV, PPP, etc…

Bottom line is this – choose something you would like/love to do online, be passionate about it and then start working on the skills that you will need for making that a business that would fill your life with joy.

IM business is just a business like all the other. You invest money into it, by paying people to work for you (outsourcing), buying tools and other technical stuff to help and automate tasks and chores when you can, getting instruction and education on the necessary topics, etc… to be able, after that, to enjoy the benefits of the business owner: the profit.

The differences between an offline business and an online one are the market share you can reach online (theoretically far bigger than offline) and the very low startup costs.

The Internet millionaires you read about though, may have been started small, but right now they have armies of employees paid to help them run their businesses as in fact they are only the facade, the brand.

On the other hand, if you set attainable goals for yourself, you can still do it alone, or with very little help. But you need to focus instead of spreading thin on all topics at hand and all the new shiny launches happening on IM.

Stop buying products all around, BUT never stop buying relevant info and software tools that are going to help you on your particular chosen area of interest.

___

Now, to come to the point in particular. The business name offline won’t help attract much traffic from the other way of the globe anyway, so it is more logical to make it memorable in a brand-style way.

For a website, though… as long as you’re not WordPress or such a brand that would make people look after you by your name… you should choose something that people are already looking for, so to stand a chance to get found in the future whenever they search for it. This is good SEO. I am an SEO passionate and probably you know that already (and I guess it shows, too…)

If you are more interested into paid traffic, I’m not much of an expert though… we could always chat about it, but I wouldn’t be so helpful as I could be regarding free organic traffic.

IF you are interested on SEO, on the other hand, basically you should start with the good domain name for your online presence. I can really help you here, indeed. Having a blog is a MUST to help you drive traffic to the money site you built or any affiliate offers.

If you don’t like to write yourself for the blog, there are two other options: outsource it OR build an automated blog(s).

No matter what kind of traffic you’d be using, building a list simply means to leverage the time and/or money already spent, to recycle the traffic you’ve got in the past, time and time again… Smart move!

Again, depending on your budget, there will be here a few alternatives: third party autoresponder or self hosted solution.

I can help you with advice on both types. I hope I could help you with these.

Now, before we go further into it, let me ask your permission to make this (editing the personal info, of course) into a post on my http://TipsAndTricks.im Blog where you may choose to comment anonymously or if you want a link back to your blog as a guest post writer we could also arrange that, but it would mean you’d need to reveal your identity and website address and topic… It’s up to you.

I would like to involve other people with the same problems into the conversation.

May I?

Thanks!

PS

Hmmm… regarding my English… I know I still have to improve, but thank you! 【ツ】

Dear Steve,

Thank you so much for writing back to me, it was very interesting to read. I checked out your blog, and wow, you are impressive!

I hear what you are saying but am still not clear in my head as to the answer to my problem. Maybe I was not clear with my question which is still: -

A) Do I make 1 website with a blog on it, like yours, or

B) Do I have a website and a separate blog website to go with it???

The paid for website I have that I mentioned last time is set up without WordPress and it cannot be put on either, I tried. Do you think I should go ahead and get my money back on that site and start again with a new one?

Question >
Do I have to actually register my domain name as a business legally before I go ahead and get one? (In case I make money online LOL)

I am interested in free organic traffic, SEO and Internet Marketing PLR products, making my own product etc.

Question >
Do I have to buy licenses for PLR product with master resell rights?

Question >
How do i make an optin box on a blog or web page and connect it to an auto responder?

You can put the question on your tips & tricks that’s ok, and I don’t mind revealing my identity, but my old web page is not up & running – under reconstruction or will take it down & start again, so there’s no web page yet to link back to unfortunately unless you wait with it till you answer my questions and I get one up and running.

Question >
On the Warrior Forum, can you change your login name – I put in in as W********** with an avatar of w**** ****** – and wouldn’t mind changing it to my own pic and name for business purposes.

Ok. That’s it for today, hope you don’t mind helping (Oh and I did buy your friend in Poland’s download) and I haven’t bought anything before that in ages (you said don’t buy anything more, LOL) because the stuff I have is all free on my PC.

Hope to hear from you soon, and my best regards to you and your family from me and mine,

Jannie K

Now…this will go on like this. For each question (or related set of questions) I will get, I’ll try to write a separate blog post to help you all with more focused answers. There will be jumping links inside the main answer to each of those blog posts, so whenever you will want to pursue a topic deeper, just click on those links and jump to the next page and so forth…

Let’s start the FUN!

SEOPressor WP Plugin Winns

WP Plugins

SEOPressor WP Plugin is the latest SEO WordPress Plugin – released by Warrior Forum SEO Expert Daniel Tan – that I have added to my Internet Marketing Arsenal (running on this very blog, right now!)

On-Page SEO Designed For Google, Proven by Google Analytics… …Brought by SEOPressor WP Plugin!

SEOPressor — What’s So Amazing About This State-Of-The-Art WordPress SEO Tool?

Although WordPress has proven to be one of the biggest platforms for blogging available on the Internet today – becoming more and more popular every day – it still has it's wish-lists, occasional bugs and flaws, etc…

Natively (no matter what you've heard before), WordPress doesn't come perfectly fit for search engines – hence the multitude of solutions to improve that aspect: professionally SEO designed themes, lots and lots of plugins performing various SEO tasks, etc…

SEOPressor is one such tool.  Although several tools have been released so far in the market today by which people can enhance the prospects of their WordPress blogs, because SEOPressor is a new entrant into the WP SEO Plugins genre, I felt I should check out SEOPressor for you and find out if it is really worth all the talk that is going on about it…

I am running the SEOPressor WP Plugin right on this blog, as you can see below – (as a matter of fact, I've improved the score of this very post – from 53.33% initially up to >>> 61.11% and lastly >>> 64.44% – using it!)

SEOPressor WP Plugin Ranking Score

After testing the product for

  1. performance and
  2. efficiency

I can definitely say that this is a product that’s well worth all the investment made in it!

In any case, people are always looking out for the best possible search engine optimization for their business website, and the fact of the matter is that WordPress SEO cannot get any better than what SEOPressor can provide.  When used correctly, SEOPressor won’t simply bring a WordPress blog to the top page of search engines but it will just bring it to the top of the top page – how cool is that, huh?..

Honestly, I expect results to figure within the top 3 on SERPs.

Let's see why and how SEOPressor can achieve that bold claim.  It looks to me that this SEO tool works in a very different way from other similar products.  So, let's drill down into it, to see these differences one by one:

SEOPressor WP Plugin Analysis Process

“SEOPressor depends on a factor known as the SEO Score for calculating the worthiness of a particular website.  What it will do is it will take some parameters into account and decide whether a particular website will rank well on search engines or not.” – excerpt from the owner's explanations.

This score is a very unique aspect of SEOPressor and the best thing about it is that its results correspond exactly with what a superlative tool such as Google Analytics will show you.  The SEO Pressor and Google Analytics Correlation is by far one of the most exciting features of this tool.

SEOPressor Suggestions

SEOPressor WP Plugin 'looks' into the innermost details of your WordPress site – acting like it almost dissects your website – and tells you intricate things about it that if you pay attention to could improve the prospects of your website to an amazing degree.

For instance depending if your main target keyword is placed in the right position or not, it will not only tell you that, but also in what a better position it could be.

It tells you what format you need to use for your H titles — H1, H2 or H3 — and also how the graphics on your website would be influencing the prospect visitors of your website.

The beauty of all this is that SEOPressor is a plugin which doesn’t just tell you about your mistakes….

….but rather tells you the solutions and will offer to do them for you as well.

It is the kind of SEO software that allows you to sit back and relax as it continuously keeps monitoring your website (telling you what you need to do – and exactly in what places – in order to raise your website ranking.)

SEOPressor – Its Newness Factor…

We should consider this as a good point too.  Definitely!

SEOPressor is quite a new plugin – and even WordPress is continuously changing – thus making it a good thing to be new.  For instance, SEOPressor is already compatible with the new WordPress 3.0, something that most other WP search engine optimization tools available on the Internet are still trying to come to grips with.

SEOPressor Convenience

Despite the program itself being very complex, you don’t need to be a technical whiz to figure it out.  The developers have tried to keep their program as much self-driving as possible.

This is what made this tool a big hit in its initial days.

Even now, after several modifications, the plug-in remains just as easy as it was earlier.  There’s nothing you need to install – it is just a simple download that you have to do.

SEOPressor's Secret Algorithm

Since its release, people have wondered about how the results of SEOPressor can match so perfectly with the results of Google Analytics. (I was wondering myself too…)

Only very recently it slipped out that SEOPressor uses a secret algorithm that works in the very manner that the Google search engine works to rank its websites.

Using this particular algorithm, it is almost a no-brainer for SEOPressor to understand what it actually takes for a website to shoot right up the rung on the Google search pile.

This is the one thing that has made SEOPressor so famous.

SEOPressor WP Plugin – Developer’s Reputation

SEOPressor has been designed and developed by Daniel Tan (told you so from the beginning, didn't I?)…

…who is one of the greatest search engine optimization gurus in the world today.

Daniel has developed successful programs in the past such as:

  • The Backlinks Syndication System
  • The Rank Mover
  • The Ultimate RSS Joiner and
  • The Press Release Cash Cow

All of these have been quite commended in the online world, which is the same thing that is happening with SEOPressor currently.

As such, SEOPressor WP Plugin is, IMHO – fully deserving the honors of… ^^^ Click To Get SEOPressor ^^^
